Andrea Cambiaso, the Juventus player, commented on the news linking him to a transfer to Manchester City, after the club rejected a large offer from the English team during the last winter transfer market.

Juventus had rejected an offer exceeding 70 million euros from Manchester City, amid coach Pep Guardiola's desire to strengthen the left-back position, while AC Milan and several other European clubs have also shown interest in signing the player.

Cambiaso said: "I haven't received any calls, maybe my agents did, but I haven't contacted any club to leave Juventus."

He added: "I am happy at Juventus, nothing is certain in life, we will see what happens in the future, because the only truth in life is death."

He continued: "I haven't spoken with Tudor, the Juventus coach, about my future, but I know that the club and the coach value me a lot, I feel the confidence of everyone here, and I am happy at Juventus and I haven't asked to leave."

He concluded: "When Tudor took over the team, the goal was to qualify for the Champions League, so he absolutely deserves the renewed trust, as he has left a great impression on us."

Juventus officially announced the renewal of trust in coach Igor Tudor, who took over the team temporarily at the end of last season, signing a contract that extends until 2027.

Juventus is preparing to face Al Ain from the UAE on Thursday morning at four o'clock, as part of the first round of the FIFA Club World Cup, in a group that also includes Manchester City and Wydad Casablanca.
