Robertson Raises Uncertainty About His Future with Liverpool
Scottish defender Andy Robertson, a player for Liverpool, has raised doubts about his future with the Reds, as he enters the final year of his contract which expires in the summer of 2026, amidst reports linking him to a departure from coach Arne Slot's plans.
Liverpool is currently working on strengthening the left flank during the summer transfer window, with Hungarian international Milos Kerkez, a Bournemouth player, being one of the leading candidates to join in a deal that could be worth up to £45 million.
Robertson stated in comments reported by Sky Sports: "I’m not sure what the future holds, all I know right now is that I will be taking a break after a long season, I can’t look too far ahead, I just know that I have one year left on my contract."
Robertson participated in 45 matches with Liverpool last season, providing two assists without scoring, and played an important role in the team's Premier League title win.
It is worth noting that Robertson joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Hull City, in a deal worth around €9 million, according to Transfermarkt.
