The Japan national team achieved a significant victory over its rival, the Indonesia national team, with a score of 6-0, in the match that took place during the 10th round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

Japan opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Daichi Kamada, while the second goal was scored by Takefusa Kubo in the 19th minute. Daichi Kamada returned again in the 45+6 minute and scored his second goal and the third for the Japanese team.

In the second half, Ryuya Morishita scored the fourth goal in the 55th minute, before Shuto Machino scored the fifth goal in the 58th minute.

The Japanese team did not settle for this result and succeeded in scoring the sixth and final goal in the 80th minute through Mao Hoisoya.

With this significant victory, the Japanese team raised its tally to 23 points at the top of Group C in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, securing qualification, while Indonesia's tally remained at 12 points in fourth place.
