Reports have revealed the reason behind Italian coach Simone Inzaghi's request for the signing of Ali Lagami, coming from Al Nassr, during the ongoing summer transfer period.

According to press sources, the signing of Ali Lagami was recommended by Simone Inzaghi, who expressed his desire to add a new defender to implement his strategy based on three defenders.

The reports added that Al Hilal's management is seeking to purchase the remaining duration of Lagami's contract with Al Nassr, in order to register him before the exceptional period ends next Wednesday morning, allowing the player to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Sources confirmed that Lagami will waive four months' salary from his previous team Al Nassr, while Al Hilal will pay an additional amount for the remaining duration of his contract.
