Manchester City Football Club has officially announced its signing of Algerian left-back Rayan Ait Nouri for a duration of five years, coming from Wolverhampton.

Ait Nouri, who is 24 years old, underwent medical examinations this week, preparing for the successful completion of the deal, which has reached its final stages between the two parties.

Manchester City is expected to register the player in its squad before June 10th, to ensure his participation in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The signing of Ait Nouri came in response to the desire of coach Pep Guardiola, who sought to strengthen the left-back position.

Ait Nouri had joined Wolverhampton from French club Angers in 2021 for £14.9 million, after a first season he played on loan.

The Algerian international had an outstanding season with Wolverhampton in 2024/2025, participating in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 7 assists, contributing to his team's survival in the Premier League.
