The contract of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is nearing its end with Paris Saint-Germain in June 2026, making his future a focus for several major European clubs, most notably Inter Milan.

Paris Saint-Germain has entered negotiations to renew with Donnarumma, who earns around 10 million euros annually, but financial disagreements have hindered reaching an agreement so far. The French club insists on implementing a salary policy based on player performance, while the goalkeeper desires better terms.

Meanwhile, Inter Milan has shown renewed interest in signing Donnarumma, especially with the impending expiration of their current goalkeeper Yann Sommer's contract in 2026. The Italian club aims to strengthen their goalkeeping position with a young and experienced keeper in Serie A, making Donnarumma an ideal target.

The value set by Paris Saint-Germain for the goalkeeper is estimated at around 40 million euros, a reasonable amount given that there is only one year left on his contract.

Donnarumma himself recently expressed his desire to stay with Paris Saint-Germain, but he did not rule out the possibility of returning to Italy in the future.
