Officially: Al-Wasl UAE announces the appointment of Luis Castro as the team's head coach
Al-Wasl Club in the UAE has officially announced its contract with Portuguese coach Luis Castro to take over the technical leadership of the first team, succeeding Serbian Miloš Milojević.
The decision to part ways with Milojević came after an amicable agreement between the two parties to terminate the contract by mutual consent, despite one year remaining on his contract, following the team's fourth-place finish in the ADNOC Professional League with 46 points, and their failure to qualify for the final of the AFC Champions League.
The club welcomed the new coach through its official account on the "X" platform, stating: "Al-Wasl has officially signed with Portuguese coach Luis Castro to lead the Emperor in the upcoming challenges. Welcome to Zabeel!"
Castro has a good coaching record, with his last position being at Al-Nassr Club in Saudi Arabia, where he managed 60 matches across various competitions, achieving 40 wins, 9 losses, and 11 draws.
