The German national team received another blow ahead of the anticipated match against Portugal next Wednesday in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League, as coach Julian Nagelsmann had to exclude striker Jonathan Burkhardt due to an ankle injury.
Burkhardt's exclusion came just days after he joined the squad to replace the absent Angelo Stiller, and no replacement will be called up, reducing the number of players in the German national team roster to only 24 players.
Nadim Amiri also left the national team camp due to injury, and the German Football Association announced yesterday, Sunday, the exclusion of Inter Milan defender Jan Bisseck, who will be replaced by Monaco defender Thilo Kehrer.
