Abdul Wahid Al-Sayed, the former football director of Zamalek Club, confirmed that he wanted the club to part ways with player Ahmed Sayed Zizo, but Hussein Labib, the club president, rejected the idea.

Al-Sayed said during the program "Al-La'eeb": "I wanted Zizo to be sold, and that’s what I told Captain Hussein Labib, the club president, but the issue with the board of directors was their concern because the fans want Zizo.

He added: "This conversation took place at the beginning of the year, during the New deal and before it. Negotiations with Zizo happened more than once.

He continued: "People say we left Zizo until the end, but negotiations have been ongoing for a year and a half back and forth, but I believe his father had a plan for Zizo not to be in Zamalek.
