The management of Al Ahly Club has decided to part ways with the Spanish player Gabriel Vega at the end of the current season, thus concluding his short stint with the Saudi team.

The famous Spanish journalist Juan Carlos Alvarez revealed that Al Ahly has reached an official agreement with the Portuguese club Porto, stipulating Vega's transfer for an amount of 16 million euros, after settling all financial and contractual aspects.

Vega is considered one of the key pillars in the lineup relied upon by the German coach Matthias Jaissle, especially in the front line, where he played an important role in the team's recent matches.

However, the player's desire to return to European fields was decisive in the negotiations, paving the way for his anticipated transfer to Porto, one of the prominent Portuguese clubs.

On the other hand, Al Ahly's management aims to strengthen the team's ranks during the upcoming transfer period as part of its plans to continue competing strongly for local and continental titles.
