Salah: I Was Close to the Saudi League
Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool FC, revealed the reasons for not moving to the Saudi League and the truth about Real Madrid and Barcelona's contact with him before renewing his contract with the Reds.
Salah said in his interview: "I know my steps well, and I don't like to talk much to please the fans; I always do what I want, and my relationship with everyone is good."
He continued: "I was indeed close to going to the Saudi League if I hadn't renewed my contract with Liverpool, but in the end, I agreed with the club."
He added: "My relationship with the Saudi League officials is very good, and there were serious negotiations to sign me before I renewed my contract."
Salah pointed out in his talk that Real Madrid and Barcelona were not in the picture for a potential transfer should he leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.
Regarding his retirement, he said: "I will make this decision when I feel that I want to retire, but I can play until the age of 40, and I don't know if I will continue with Liverpool until I retire or not."
