The Egyptian international and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah appeared in a press interview, where he discussed several matters including the Ballon d'Or and his retirement date.

Salah said: "Winning the Best Player award from journalists three times, equaling Thierry Henry? I have a two-year contract with Liverpool, and I hope to achieve this award wonderfully."

He added: "Winning the Ballon d'Or? I hope so for my country, but it is not in my hands. If I win it, I will be happy, and if it doesn't happen, I can't change anything. What I can do is give my best on the field."

He continued: "I don't want to be arrogant, but my numbers are always the highest in the team. However, this season is very special and completely different; my numbers are the highest among everyone in the Premier League, not just among my teammates."

Regarding Arne Slot: "At the beginning of the season, I spoke to him frankly and told him that we would win the league, but on the condition that he gives me freedom on the field. He agreed to that but told me that I must deliver good numbers, and in the end, I did what he asked of me, and we won the league title."

He emphasized: "This season has proven that I can deliver my best levels even if other players or a new coach come in. No matter how the names change; with a new coach and different players, I was able to deliver a great performance."

He added: "In recent years, many football players have delivered their best version after the age of thirty, because experience becomes greater, and you can control your emotions better, and you also work on yourself more intelligently. I want to win the league and the Champions League again."

He concluded regarding his retirement date: "I will play football until the age of 39-40. I will continue playing until my children tell me that it's time for football to end, and it's time to be with us."
