Friday 23-05-2025
A Spanish media report confirmed that Real Madrid has decided to sign a new midfielder during the upcoming summer transfer window to compensate for the departure of Croatian star Luka Modric.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that the royal club is monitoring several players to sign one of them to replace the Croatian star's exit.

The source added that Real Madrid's options include: Vitinha (PSG), Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea), Nico Paz (Como), Rodri (Man City), Franco Mastantuono (River Plate), Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen), Tijjani Reijnders (Milan), Angelo Stiller (Stuttgart).

The source indicated that signing Vitinha will be very complicated as his contract runs until 2029, while the club is impressed with Enzo's potential but he is not the player the team needs for organizing play. On the other hand, Nico Paz is an economical option with a cost of 8 million euros.

The newspaper concluded that signing Rodri will be difficult as he is returning from an injury and his contract ends in 2027, while Wirtz and Reijnders are highly regarded by the royal club due to their remarkable performances and ability to score and assist, whereas Stiller is a talented player in organizing play but is criticized for his slowness.
