Former Al-Nasr President Clarifies His Position on Team Crisis
Prince Faisal bin Turki, the former president of Saudi Arabia's Al-Nasr Club, denied the rumors regarding his unconditional support for the executive director Raed Ismail, pointing out that his recent statements were taken out of their true context.
He clarified through a tweet on the 'X' platform that his comments on Turki Al-Ajma's program were limited to stating that 'Raed Ismail is a Nasrawi,' without implying support or ignoring the crisis the club is currently facing.
Bin Turki emphasized that the role of honorary members has ended since 75% ownership of major clubs has been transferred to the Public Investment Fund, which controls the decisions of the board of directors without external interference.
Prince Faisal confirmed that he has never criticized the successive administrations of Al-Nasr since his departure, and he will not do so in the future, preferring to offer his opinion and assistance directly when asked, rather than through the media or social platforms.
Bin Turki's statements came at a sensitive time, as the fans of Al-Hilal and Al-Nasr are experiencing anger due to the decline in performance and results, with Al-Nasr exiting the season without any titles, while Al-Hilal only secured the Diriyah Super Cup title.
