Palmeiras Denies Negotiations to Sign Ronaldo for the World Cup
Monday 19-05-2025
The Brazilian club Palmeiras has denied circulating reports about negotiations to sign Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo to participate with the team in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.

Fernão Comunicações, the club's media and communications director, confirmed that there are no official contacts or agreements with the player at this time, noting that the team's foreign player list has been fully finalized.

These statements come in response to recent rumors linking Ronaldo's name to a sensational move to Palmeiras ahead of the anticipated global tournament.

It is worth mentioning that Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Saudi club Al Nassr ends at the end of the current season, allowing him the freedom to negotiate or transfer to any club in the upcoming period.

The player has recently missed training sessions with Al Nassr due to an injury he sustained, which has kept him away from the team's matches both domestically and internationally.
