Flamengo Chases Al-Hilal's Top Scorer and a Crucial Stance from the Club
Thursday 15-05-2025
Reports have revealed that Brazilian club Flamengo is prioritizing striker Marcos Leonardo, the star of Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal, to strengthen their attacking line for the upcoming football season.

Despite the Brazilian interest, sources confirm that Al-Hilal's management does not intend to enter negotiations due to Leonardo's significant importance in the starting lineup and the complete confidence of the coaching staff in his abilities.

Al-Hilal's refusal to part with Leonardo coincides with their preparations for the FIFA Club World Cup, where the Brazilian striker is viewed as an irreplaceable player at this stage.

Al-Hilal successfully signed Marcos Leonardo last summer from Portuguese club Benfica on a five-year contract worth approximately 40 million euros, marking one of the club's most notable deals.

During his first season, Leonardo delivered an impressive performance, playing 38 matches, scoring 25 goals, and providing 3 assists, and he currently leads the team’s scoring list in the Saudi league with 17 goals so far.
