Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Liverpool is in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen's right-back Jeremy Frimpong to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold's departure.
Romano mentioned on his X platform account: "Liverpool has progressed in talks regarding the signing of Jeremy Frimpong after reports of initial contacts last week."
He added: "Liverpool is in communication with Bayer Leverkusen to discuss the payment structure for the buyout clause estimated at 35 million euros."
He concluded: "Liverpool is also in talks with the player, who has expressed his desire to join Liverpool."
It is noted that Arnold will be moving to Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer.
