Arsenal has received a significant blow in the summer transfer market after German star Leroy Sane rejected a move to the Gunners and insisted on remaining with Bayern Munich despite discussions between the two parties.

Arsenal's management had previously negotiated with Sane's representatives earlier this year as part of a plan to bolster the team's attacking line ahead of the new season, especially after the team's failure to win both the Premier League and the Champions League titles.

According to TBR Football, the player has decided to continue with the Bavarian giant and has expressed willingness to reduce his annual salary of 15 million euros in order to extend his contract with the team, given his confidence in the new project under the management of Vincent Kompany.

Sane had an impressive season in the Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals in 29 matches, and significantly regained his physical stability.

In addition to Arsenal, Chelsea also attempted to sign the German international, but the player declined to return to the Premier League, preferring to stay with the German champions.

Arsenal continues to work on its summer signings, getting closer to acquiring Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, while placing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak among their attacking priorities.
