English star Jude Bellingham, a player for Real Madrid, is preparing to undergo shoulder surgery to treat an injury he has been suffering from since November 2023, amidst a state of controversy within the club regarding the timing of the surgery, as revealed by the 'Relief' network.

Bellingham suffered an injury to his left shoulder during a match against Rayo Vallecano last season, and since then he has been experiencing ongoing pain. As a result, the medical team at Real Madrid opted for conservative treatment, avoiding surgery to prevent a long absence.

However, by the end of the season, the surgical option became necessary, especially since the player had not fully recovered despite using a special brace to protect the shoulder during matches.

Although there is an agreement to proceed with the surgery, the current controversy within the royal club is about when to carry it out.

The Real Madrid management sees it as wise to postpone the surgery until after the Club World Cup, so that Bellingham can participate in the tournament, which the management considers crucial for the marketing and sporting project.

On the other hand, Bellingham prefers to undergo the surgery as soon as possible, and the operation might take place immediately after the Clasico if the team loses and falls out of the La Liga race.

The surgery could keep him off the field for over a month, which means he may miss most of the Club World Cup.

Despite a decline in his numbers in the second half of the season, Bellingham remains one of the key pillars in Real Madrid's new project alongside Vinicius and Mbappe, making the decision regarding the surgery even more sensitive.
