Sunday 11-05-2025
French star Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid's forward, won the award for the best French professional player outside France for 2024 during the annual ceremony organized by the French Professional Players' Association this Sunday evening.

Mbappe's award came after an outstanding individual season, where he scored 39 goals in a Real Madrid shirt, becoming the highest scorer in his first season in the club's history.

He also topped the Spanish league's scoring chart with 27 goals, surpassing Robert Lewandowski, and contributed a hat-trick in the recent Clasico against Barcelona.

Mbappe triumphed in the voting over William Saliba of Arsenal, Jules Kounde of Barcelona, Michael Olise of Bayern Munich, and Mike Maignan of Milan.

This award continues the tradition of Spanish capital stars dominating the prize, as Karim Benzema previously won it on four occasions, and Antoine Griezmann in the last edition.
