Issam Al-Sabhi: We aimed for victory but could not capitalize on opportunities

After Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's draw with Al-Kahrabaa 2-2 in the 31st round of the Iraqi Stars League, the team's striker, Issam Al-Sabhi, spoke about the match events and the team's performance. The draw was a disappointment for the team that was aiming for victory, but Al-Sabhi confirmed that the team will strive to improve its level in the upcoming matches.

Al-Sabhi said: "Today's match was difficult, especially since we faced a well-organized team with high-level players. We aimed for victory, but in the end, we could not capitalize on the opportunities available to us as we should have, which cost us a valuable point in the competition race."

He continued: "It is natural sometimes for the match not to go as we want. We were the better team at times during the match, but Al-Kahrabaa performed very well, and they were patient in defense and scoring goals, which made things difficult for us."

He added: "Yes, we had some opportunities that could have resulted in goals, but we could not score. We need to work on improving the accuracy of our final touches and focus in front of the goal in the upcoming matches. We need to enhance this aspect of our game."

He concluded: "The draw is not satisfactory for us, of course, but we know that we need to improve and continue working hard. The season is still long, and every upcoming match will be an opportunity for us to correct our mistakes and perform better."

He emphasized: "I am confident that the team is capable of bouncing back strongly, as we have the technical and physical capabilities to achieve positive results. We work daily to develop our performance, and I believe we can overcome this period and return to the competition with full strength. We promise our fans that we will give our best in the upcoming matches, and we will fight until the last moment.
