Officials from Zamalek Club clarified the truth behind the rumors that have recently circulated regarding the club's refusal to allow midfielder Ahmed Hamdi to travel to Germany for additional medical examinations concerning his cruciate ligament injury.

According to press reports, Zamalek's management informed Ahmed Hamdi that the scans and tests he underwent in Egypt clearly showed his condition, but the club would have permitted his travel to Germany if his treating doctor had deemed it necessary, which did not occur.

Reports indicated that Ahmed Hamdi accepted Zamalek's management's perspective and participated in group training recently in a normal manner, becoming ready to join the team from both a technical and physical standpoint.

On its part, Zamalek is preparing to face Al-Masry in Port Said on May 1, as part of the third round of the final stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
