Jules Koundé expressed his happiness at qualifying for the Champions League semifinals despite a 3-1 loss to Dortmund in the second leg of the quarterfinals, as the first leg ended with a 4-0 victory for the Catalan team.

The French defender said: "We are very happy to have reached the semifinals. But I feel disappointed with the performance we delivered."

He added: "We lacked everything we did well in the first leg. The pressure, closing down passing lanes. We were not at the required level. We made mistakes and lapses. We told Flick that we need to improve, and maybe we did improve in the second half."

He continued: "We need to keep moving forward and not stop doing what we do well most of the time."

He concluded: "We are excited to reach the semifinals. We dream of winning the Champions League, but there is still one step left. We have to be happy with the team's performance."
