West Ham Targets Ramsdale
Thursday 10-04-2025
West Ham United is planning to strengthen its goalkeeper position for the upcoming season, with reports indicating the club's interest in signing English goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Southampton during the summer transfer window.

According to 'The Times', Southampton's relegation to the Championship may facilitate Ramsdale's departure for around £20 million, and the 26-year-old goalkeeper is keen to remain in the Premier League to maintain his chances of representing the England national team.

Ramsdale, who previously played for Bournemouth, Sheffield United, and Arsenal, joined Southampton in the summer of 2023 on a three-year contract with a weekly salary exceeding £100,000, but he was unable to save his team from relegation.

In addition to West Ham, Newcastle has also shown interest in the goalkeeper, amid reports that coach Eddie Howe is monitoring him, and that Ramsdale previously played under his management at Bournemouth.
