The British newspaper 'The Sun' has revealed details of an anticipated new contract for Egyptian star Mohamed Salah with Liverpool, as his current contract is set to expire at the end of this season.

According to the newspaper, the captain of the Egyptian national team will sign a new contract extending until the summer of 2027, with a weekly salary of £400,000, an increase of £50,000 from his current salary of £350,000.

'The Sun' clarified that the annual value of Salah's new contract will reach £42 million, making him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

Mohamed Salah's current contract with the Reds ends next June, granting him the right to sign with any other club for free this summer, amid previous reports linking him to a move to the Saudi league, specifically to clubs Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal, before he expressed his desire to continue with Liverpool.

Salah is having an outstanding season, having participated in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists, continuing to shine as one of the team's key stars.

Liverpool is preparing to face West Ham United next Sunday, in the 32nd round of the Premier League, following their recent loss to Fulham with a score of 3-2.
