The Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb announced on Wednesday the dismissal of Italian head coach Fabio Cannavaro from his position just a few months after his appointment.

The statement read: "Fabio Cannavaro is no longer our coach, having been with us for just over three months and having led Dinamo in 14 competitive matches and three friendly matches."

It added: "We thank Coach Cannavaro from the bottom of our hearts for his tremendous efforts, participation, and friendship, and we wish him all the best in his sports journey and life in general."

It concluded: "For the remainder of the season, the team will be temporarily coached by assistant coach Sandro Perkovic."
