Stephen Gerrard, the former coach of Al-Ettifaq, spoke about his stance on returning to coaching again.

Gerrard left his position as head coach of Al-Ettifaq in January due to poor results.

In statements made during a podcast with Peter Crouch, Gerrard said: "I don't want to go back to work, not at the moment, I've just come out, so I'm happy to wake up, be free, spend time with family, and be stress-free."

He added: "I will return to coaching at some point, but when coaching becomes a continuous job for 18 months."

He continued: "I just want to be free and do normal things that you can't do while coaching, like playing golf. I want to do normal things that you can't do while coaching, so I'm good."

Gerrard noted: "The world of coaching doesn't compare to the joy of playing. I miss that greatly and want to return to playing again."

He concluded: "Coaching and management do not fill the void; they are not the same thing. Don't get me wrong, staying in this field is great, but when it comes to the excitement of playing, I didn't appreciate it enough."
