Flick: The Road is Still Long, and Olmo's Injury is Bad News
Barcelona coach Hans Flick admitted that the league journey is still long, following the 3-0 victory over Osasuna in the postponed match from round 27 of La Liga.
The coach said: "I hope we have reached this point in the season at the right time, the road is long, and there are ten matches left. Currently, we are three points ahead of the runner-up."
Regarding Dani Olmo's injury: "Dani is suffering from an injury, there are many matches in our schedule, and he will miss some of them, which is bad news for us."
He continued: "I am very proud of the players because the situation has not been easy. I don't think it was the right time to play, but we paid a heavy price because Olmo's injury was not in our favor."
On Gavi receiving the captain's armband after Pedri was substituted: "Gavi had a great match. His return after injury was not easy. He is a professional player, a player from the La Masia academy, distinguished by his focus, and I am happy for him because he spent some time on the bench and started the match, and performed well.
