Iraq's Squad Announced for Matches Against Kuwait and Palestine

The Iraqi national team coach, Jesus Casas, announced the summoned list to face the teams of Kuwait and Palestine in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.

The list of the Lions of Mesopotamia consists of 29 players, with not many changes, and it generally came as expected.

The Spanish coach stated that the number has increased to 29 players, in anticipation of some players being suspended, as there are 4 players who hold one yellow card each: Hussein Ali, Ayman Hussein, Amir Al-Amari, and Mirkhaz Doski. Additionally, Amjad Attwan will be suspended for the first match against Kuwait due to accumulated yellow cards.
