Klopp: I Will Return to Anfield If Liverpool Wins the Premier League
German coach Jurgen Klopp, the former manager of Liverpool, revealed his desire to return to Anfield for the final match of the Premier League if the team successfully clinches the title officially.
In his statements, Klopp said: "Yes, the idea is to be there for the last match, but I will not be with the team or on the celebration bus, I will be among the fans that I know well."
He added: "I didn't want to return early so as not to affect the team, but if the title becomes certain, I will be there; I don't want to attend for the first time and then see the team lose, that would be annoying."
Liverpool currently tops the Premier League table with 67 points, 13 points ahead of their closest rivals, making them close to regaining the title under the leadership of Dutch coach Arne Slot, who took over after Klopp's departure last summer.
It is worth mentioning that Klopp led Liverpool to achieve many titles, most notably the Premier League in 2020 and the UEFA Champions League in 2019, and he still enjoys great popularity among the Reds' fans, who look forward to seeing him celebrate a long-awaited title again.
