Anthony's Agent Attacks Ruben Amorim
Wednesday 05-03-2025
Junior Pedroso, the agent of Brazilian player Anthony, has sharply criticized Manchester United's management and Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, pointing out that the player has not been given the right opportunity to prove himself with the English team.

The Brazilian winger moved to Real Betis in Spain during the winter transfer window of 2025 on loan until the end of the season, and he has performed impressively since his arrival, participating in 5 matches in La Liga, during which he scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists.

The player's agent stated: "Anthony showed his true potential with Betis when the right conditions were available, proving that the issue was not with his physical abilities but with how he was treated at Manchester United."

He added: "There are many players who did not succeed at United but have excelled elsewhere, raising questions about whether the problem lies with the players or the club itself."

Pedroso criticized the statements of Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, saying: "Amorim's comments diminish the value of La Liga, which is one of the most competitive leagues in the world, with clubs consistently competing in the Champions League and the Europa League."

He continued: "Anthony did not get his chance at Manchester United, as he played only 252 minutes under Amorim, which is equivalent to 18.6% of the total possible minutes, so how can one judge him without giving him a real opportunity?"

The player's agent confirmed that Anthony feels very comfortable at Real Betis, as he quickly adapted to the atmosphere in Seville, considering that the move to La Liga was the best decision for him at this stage of his career.
