The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported in a piece that Aston Villa is closely monitoring the situation of the English star Marcus Rashford, who is currently on loan to Barcelona.

According to sources, coach Unai Emery wants to rely on the English player for the next season and is waiting for Manchester United to clarify his future officially.

This comes in light of the existence of a final purchase option in the loan contract between Rashford and Barcelona, valued at around 30 million euros. However, the Catalan club does not plan to activate this clause at the moment.

Barcelona is considering negotiating with Manchester United to reduce the deal's value or extend the loan for an additional season, while the English club wishes to sell Rashford permanently this summer.
