Matias Yaizla: Our Goal is to Win the AFC Champions League
Matias Yaizla, the coach of Al Ahli Saudi Club, thanked the loyal fans who attended the match against Al Rayyan today, Tuesday, in the Champions League.
Al Ahli won against Al Rayyan with a score of 3-1 in the first leg of the Round of 16 of the AFC Champions League for elite teams.
Yaizla said in the press conference after the match: "Al Ahli is a team with great potential, and the players play as one team, seriously and with bravery, and this is a first step for us."
He added: "It is my pleasure to see the team's effort on the field; it was an amazing performance, and we deserved to win. We achieved what we wanted today, and we are very optimistic about the return match."
When asked what it means to play in Jeddah for the remainder of the tournament, he replied: "Many fans attended today, and even during the match, we did not feel it was an away game with our fans, who are a significant addition for us. They are a big advantage in this tournament, and our goal is to achieve the title, but we have a long way to go."
