The Portuguese Nuno Almeida is nearing his departure from the position of head coach of the Saudi club Damak.
The Saudi newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that Saudi coach Khalid Al-Attawi is a candidate to coach Damak.
The newspaper clarified that the Damak management is considering sacking Nuno Almeida following the match against Al-Taawoun in the 24th round of the Saudi Professional League, which will take place next Saturday.
Damak's performance has declined recently, as they suffered defeats in their last 3 matches and failed to win in their last 6 encounters.
Damak currently occupies the thirteenth position in the league standings with a total of 24 points.
