Peseiro: Our goal is to win against Enppi
Jose Peseiro, the coach of Zamalek, spoke about his team's upcoming match against Enppi in the league, which will take place tomorrow as part of the 17th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Peseiro said in the press conference preceding the match: "Our goal is to win against Enppi, and Zamalek is fighting to achieve victory in every match. This is a new opportunity for the team to improve its play with the new approach, especially since there are many positives that were achieved in the previous match, but there are negatives we want to work on improving at this time."
He added: "We have many absences in the upcoming match, and any coach wants all players to be ready for the matches. We have started preparations for the match against Enppi scheduled for tomorrow, and these preparations have been made without the absent players. I trust in all the players' abilities, and I hope they trust in me and in themselves."
He continued: "When an opportunity comes for a player, they must seize it, and those who will participate in light of the absences must hold onto their chance."
He added: "We have not won in the last three matches, but the team has shown good levels and there is improvement in performance. Zamalek deserved to win in the last match against Zed, and refereeing errors caused Zamalek to lose 6 points. Anyone can make mistakes, including the referee, and I hope these mistakes do not happen again, but this is not an excuse for Zamalek after drawing in the last three matches, especially since the team is required to improve in some aspects on the field."
He continued: "Zamalek played a good match against Zed, controlling the course of the match and not giving the opponent a chance for a counter-attack. 85% of the match was in the opponent's midfield, and there should be improvement in finishing attacks, crosses, and positioning to create more chances and convert them into goals. If we maintain the team's performance, we can win in every match even if we face bad luck.
