Ranieri: The match against Como will be very difficult, but we are ready

Ranieri began the press conference by talking about the future of the coaching staff after his mission with the team ends, saying: "The next coach? Milan has been contracted as a consultant to the management, but he is not the one with the final decision. I will present a list of names, but the final choice is up to the management; this is the nature of football, everyone is under evaluation, and the players and I are well aware of that."

Ranieri added, speaking about De Rossi: "From what I've heard, De Rossi is a great coach. He should continue his coaching career and develop his experiences, then he will return to Roma stronger and more ready."

When asked about the match against Como, Ranieri expressed his respect for the opponent, saying: "Fabregas is an ambitious coach, and I believe that in three or four years he will be at the top. The Como team resembles Parma in the 90s; they have a clear project and will compete strongly in the future. Facing them now feels like going to the dentist without anesthesia; it will be a very difficult match."

He also pointed out the standout stars of the opponent: "Como has outstanding players like Nico Baz and Diaw, who are both very strong. Overall, they have a cohesive team that plays beautiful football."

Ranieri addressed the situation of German defender Hummels, emphasizing his role within the team: "Hummels is a role model for the youth, but he will decide his future. For me, the name is not as important as the performance in training and matches."

Regarding the selection of the new coach, Ranieri confirmed that he would have a consulting role: "The management trusts me, and I will provide a list of names with an analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of each coach. In the end, the decision will be theirs, but I will ensure to recommend names I believe can successfully lead Roma."

As for his strategy in substitutions and player management, Ranieri clarified: "The physical level of players cannot remain constant throughout the season. Sometimes there is a slight decline in performance, and this is where my role comes in to determine whether a change is necessary or not; this is my coaching style."
