Spanish coach Rafael Benitez, former manager of Liverpool, praised the exceptional level that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is presenting with the Reds this season, despite his contract nearing its end with the club.

Mohamed Salah continued to shine with Liverpool, contributing to his team's 2-0 victory over Newcastle United in the Premier League, where Salah assisted the second goal, securing three valuable points that strengthen his team's lead in the standings with 67 points.

In television statements, Rafa Benitez spoke about Mohamed Salah's performance, saying: "Salah is in a special situation this season; everyone knows that his contract with Liverpool is nearing its end, but despite that, he is delivering amazing performances that help the team achieve victories."

He added: "I watched him talk about his physical fitness and how he prepares for matches on both physical and mental levels, which reflects his commitment and professionalism."

Mohamed Salah has played 28 matches in the Premier League this season so far with Liverpool, where he has succeeded in scoring 25 goals and assisting 17 others.
