Real Madrid Club, in a statement on its website, revealed the nature of the injury suffered by midfielder Dani Ceballos.
Ceballos was injured while at the peak of his form during Real Madrid's match, which they won against their hosts Real Sociedad "1-0" in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
The statement said: "After the examinations conducted today on our player Dani Ceballos by the medical services of Real Madrid, the diagnosis clarified that he suffers from an injury to the semimembranosus muscle that affects the tendon of his left leg."
The statement indicated that the player's return depends on the speed of his recovery, but reports mentioned that he would return again in about two months.
