Tebas: Real Madrid and Barcelona are the most benefiting from arbitration
Javier Thibbas, president of the Spanish League, confirmed that the auxiliary video technology is used excessively recently, noting that things were more disciplined when Jose Lewis was responsible for it.
In press statements, Tibas explained that the excessive use of video technology began after Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid, called former Spanish Federation President Luis Rubiales, which led to a change in the way the technology is applied.
"If we conducted a poll between clubs about the teams most benefiting from the arbitration, the answer will be often Real Madrid and Barcelona," Tebas added.
Tibas also criticized Real Madrid's position on arbitration, saying: "All clubs complain of arbitration decisions, but Real Madrid is the only one who has a channel dedicated to attacking referees and stirring controversy."
He added: "I know many Real Madrid fans who do not agree with this continuous complaint method, the club looks like it is always crying, as if there was a conspiracy against him in every match."
He concluded his speech: "It is strange that the Real Madrid channel did not talk about the Celta Vigo penalty kick in the cup."
