Liverpool star Cody Jacobo appeared in press statements after qualifying for the League Cup final, by beating Tottenham 4-0, in the first leg of the semi-finals, knowing that the first leg ended with Tottenham's victory 1-0.

"I think our stadium helped us a lot. We knew that we had to return in the result. We went out there and tried to bring as much opportunities as possible. With the quality we have, we knew that we would get opportunities."

He added: "It was a great victory. The fans today helped us, and this gives us additional energy. We are very happy with these fans."

"We are on the right path, but we have to deal with each match separately. We have done a good job today - we are in one final, but we have a lot to play for it," he added.

"We are in good condition at the present time, but we have to continue. You know how things go in football and it is related to consistency. We have to keep the momentum."
