Juventus Plans a Swap Deal with Newcastle

According to "Football Italy", Juventus intends to enter negotiations with Newcastle United to acquire Italian star Sandro Tonali during the summer transfer window of 2025, through a swap deal involving one of their players along with a financial compensation.

The site reports that Tonali is a primary target for the Old Lady this summer, but the high financial value of the player, estimated at around 70 to 80 million euros, poses a barrier to completing the deal, given the club's current financial situation.

To overcome this obstacle, Juventus is considering offering a player from their squad to reduce the transaction value, with Douglas Luiz and Dusan Vlahovic being prominent options on the table.

Douglas Luiz, the former Aston Villa player, has struggled with recurring injuries this season and has not performed at his usual level, despite joining for 50 million euros. Meanwhile, Vlahovic, the team's top scorer this season, has refused to extend his contract, which expires in June 2026, prompting Juventus management to consider selling him to avoid losing him for free.
