About the Team

Namibia. The Namibia national football team is the official representative of the Republic of Namibia in international tournaments, overseen by the Namibia Football Association (NFA), which was established in 1990 after the country's independence. It joined FIFA in 1992 and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in the same year. The team is considered one of the rising teams in Africa and participated in the Africa Cup of Nations once in 2008, achieving some notable results in African qualifiers and youth tournaments. The team is known by the nickname "Brave Warriors" and plays its matches at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek and sometimes at other venues within the country.
