Dohuk snatches a valuable point from Zakho in the northern Iraq derby

The northern Iraq derby between Zakho and Dohuk ended in a positive draw with two goals for each team in the fifth round of the Iraq Stars League.

Where the home team, Zakho Club, started scoring first. The player “Amjad Atwan” took a penalty kick in the 35th minute and put it past goalkeeper Mohamed Saleh. Then, after a few minutes, Zakho Club was able to win another penalty kick and it was scored by “Amjad Atwan” in the 4+45 minute of stoppage time. Zakho finished the first half ahead of Dohuk.

At the beginning of the second half, Dohuk tried to reach Zakho’s goal and in fact was able to score through the brilliant player “Peter Korkis” with a beautiful goal in The 70th minute, and then the substitute player, “Bashang Abdullah,” adjusted the score in favor of Dohuk in the 81st minute.

The two teams got one point, and Zakho jumps to fourth place, while Dohuk remains in the 15th place in the Iraq Stars League.
