Officially... Tuchel will coach the England national team in 2025

The English Football Association announced in an official statement that it had signed a contract with coach Thomas Tuchel to coach the first team.

The statement said: “The English Football Association announces Football Association announced that Champions League winner Thomas Tuchel is the new coach of the England senior national team and will be assisted by the internationally famous English coach Anthony Barry.

He added: “Tuchel and Barry will start work on 1 January 2025 before the qualifying matches for the following year's FIFA World Cup Finals, which are scheduled to be held in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

He added:" Lee will remain interim coach." Carsley is in charge of the Three Lions until the end of the group stage in the European Nations League next month.

Tuchel said: “I am very proud to have been given the honor of leading the England team for as long as I have felt “I have a personal connection to the game in this country, and it has given me some really great moments. To have the opportunity to represent England is a huge privilege, and the opportunity to work with such a special and talented group of players is very exciting.”
