Groove Head: Our goal is to avoid relegation

Sami Al Fadel, president of the Saudi Al-Ukhdood Club, confirmed that his goal is for the club to remain in the Saudi League and avoid a relegation struggle.

Al-Ukhdood is currently in the Saudi Roshan League standings in penultimate place with 4 points after 6 rounds of the tournament.

Al Fadel said in statements to the “Wasat Al-Wasat” program on Al-Ekhbariya channel: “Our goal in the current season is to stay in warm areas early and avoid the relegation struggle.”

He continued: “Croatian Stjepan Thomas is a good coach for the groove, and he is good at handling the tools available to him. We wanted Noureddine Zikri to stay, but there are many differences that we faced during the contract extension talks.”

He added: “We contracted with Touamba for one sporting season, and the age factor affected our desire to renew his contract. We contracted with Petros Kahn at the technical request of coach Thomas, and there are players who refuse to come, and the issue of negotiations is very tiring.”

He concluded his speech: “There is a player whose market value is 700 thousand euros and we offered him one million euros, and when he learned that we were in the Saudi League, he asked for 3 million euros.”
