Deleting a goal from Aleksandar Mitrovic's tally
The Saudi League confirmed today, Monday, through an official statement, the deletion of a goal from Aleksandar Mitrovic, Al Hilal striker.
The statement said: “Based on a notification from the referees’ committee, the name of the scorer of Al Hilal’s second goal in its match against Riyadh in the third round from Mitrovic was changed to an own goal in the name of Riyadh defender Yoann Barbet.”
Al Hilal had achieved a 3-0 victory over Al Riyadh in the third round of the Roshan League.
Despite reducing Mitrovic's goals from 8 to 7 goals, he remains at the top of the Roshen League's top scorers' rankings.
