Arteta: I will not talk to Guardiola anymore, and this is the case of David Raya
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta appeared in a press conference, to talk about tomorrow’s confrontation against Leicester City, in the sixth round of the English Premier League.
The coach said: “David Raya: We have to wait 24 hours to see if he looks good or not. It's not about the risk, it's about whether the player is fit or available or not. We will make the decision tomorrow p>On Ben White and Jorian Temper: “Jorian was able to participate in training today, so he will be available in the team and we hope that Ben White will be available as well.”
On how Mikel Merino's recovery from his shoulder injury: "We'll see next week. He trained partially today, he was working hard and looked really good. It's just about the healing of those bones and how mature they are to expose us to contact basically."
And about his relationship with Pep Guardiola after the two teams’ match last week: “I love him, respect him, and admire him, his team, and everything he does. This is a sport and a personal relationship, if I had to harm my relationship because one draws and the other wins when we play against... Each other, and the number of times we lost, I will not talk to him anymore. It is a sport and will not affect the personal relationship.”
And about his team’s handling of the absence of captain Martin Odegaard: “If you put them in that scenario before the season started, with the calendar that we have, the games we had and the three away games and how we came out of that, I think I would be very, very happy.”
