Khaled El-Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that postponing the Egyptian Super Cup without an announced reason is strange.

He continued: "Suddenly it was said that the Elite Championship was postponed to the month of December, and no one knows who made the decision to postpone it and who is responsible for changing the date."

And he continued: “The masses The postponement was linked to Al-Ahly Club and the Disciplinary Committee due to the fact that no decisions have been taken yet regarding the events of Al-Ahly’s match against Pyramids and Zamalek coach Gomez’s problem with the referee.”

He concluded: “An official in the Football Association must come out to announce the reason for postponing the tournament and who made this decision, especially since the UAE, which will host the tournament, does not object to the specified date.”
