
The former Al-Nasr coach, Portuguese Luis Castro, sent the first message to his followers after the decision to officially dismiss him from training the Saudi team.
Al-Nasr Club Company announced, yesterday, Tuesday, the termination of... The contractual relationship with coach Castro, one day after the team tied with the Iraqi police 1-1 at the start of its campaign in the elite AFC Champions League competition.
Castro said through his account on the social networking site “Instagram”: “Now that I have stopped my duties as coach of the Al-Nasr team, I would like to thank everyone who supported me and worked every day beside me.”
Castro continued: “I wish them good luck and success at this time when I stop training Al-Nassr.”
This is a step forward. Castro was dismissed from coaching Al-Nasr, due to fluctuating results, the most recent of which was a 1-1 draw with Al-Ahly Jeddah in the Saudi League Clasico, and with the same result his last match against the Iraqi Al-Shorta ended at the beginning of the AFC Elite Champions League campaign.
