Brazilian Alex Telles, former and current Al-Nasr player for Botafogo, revealed the details of his departure from the yellow team, during the current summer transfer period.
Telles said in press statements: “I learned of my departure from Al-Nasr in the last hours of the summer transfer period in Europe, and I was with my wife on vacation, after the club was informed that I was dispensing with my services to register another player.”
He added: “In the beginning, Al-Nasr officials told me that I would continue in the current season, but they were forced to make a decision about foreign players, and I was chosen to leave, and I had to comply with that and terminate my contract.”
He explained: “Cristiano Ronaldo intervenes in the big decisions within Al-Nasr, because the club values his opinions and his great experience in the game. When Ronaldo says something, everyone in Al-Nasr keeps what he says in mind.” And in their mind.”
He continued: “Cristiano Ronaldo spoke to me and encouraged me to come to Al-Nasr from Manchester United in the summer of 2023 and asked me to contact him if any obstacles occurred, but things went well.”
He concluded his speech: “I could not refuse the Saudi offer and represent Al-Nasr, and I felt the responsibility to play well, because of Cristiano Ronaldo, who opened the door for me to come to Saudi Arabia.”
